Next week starts the Turku Animated Film Festival. There is no lack of Polish animated films on the programme of the Finnish festival.

The Turku Animated Film Festival is a relatively new event which has already managed to find a permanent place in the animated film-makers' calendars. On the programme, there are, in addition to the local productions, the most interesting international animated films, and its core is the competition sections with productions up to 30 minutes. The organisers aim to create one of the most important animated film festivals in Finland which will at the same time be a platform uniting film industry, film-makers and animated film fans.

Four Polish films are invited to this year's best international animated film competition. The awards may go to "Acid Rain" by Tomek Popakul, "The Rain" by Piotr Milczarek, "The Other" by Marta Magnuska or "You Are Overreacting" by Karina Paciorkowska.

This year's edition of the festival is held from the 21st of August to the 25th of August.
