BIG POLISH REPRESENTATION AT VILNIUS FILM SHORTS

Fifteen Polish short films made their way to the competition at VINIUS FILM SHORTS, that will take place in Lithuania between 13th and 16th October. Precisely in one week the competition will take off setting five fiction films, four animations and six documentaries produced in Poland in the last year, into competition for the main prize.

 VILNIUS FILM SHORTS is the only international festival organized in Lithuania, devoted entirely to the films made by young directors. This year, for the sixth time, festival will present the programme composed not only of school debuts but also artistically challenging films produced independently. Sixty-one films sent to Vilnius from all over the world will be screened in the competition that will show the winner awarded a major prize – 1km 16mm Color Kodak print. The jury will also select the best films of each cathegory.      


List of Polish competitors includes: documentaries - „The Last Day of Summer” by Piotr Stasik, „The Scream” by Jonas Matzow Gulbrandsen, „Invisible border” by Hrafnsson Haukur Margeir, „The end of the world” by Mateusz Skaski, „Out of reach” by Jakub Stożek and „Kids play” by Maciej Adamek, animated „Talk to him” by Agata Prętka, „Millhaven” by Bartek Kulas, „Two steps behind...” by Paulina Majda and „Gallery” by Robert Proch, short fiction films „Twist and Blood” by Kuba Czekaj, “I won’t be here tomorrow” by Julia Kolberger, „http://” by Bartosz Kruhlik, „Play with me” Rafała Skalskiego and docufiction by Bartosz Warwas - “MC. Man of vinyl”.


During last year’s edition documentary „Little bride” by Lesław Dobrucki proved to be the second among the best documentaries.
