POLISH FILMS AT ENCOUNTERS

At the end of September in Bristol starts the new edition of the Encounters Film Festival. Polish documentary and animated films are invited to the competitions.

The Encounters Film Festival is the leading short and animated film festival in Great Britain, which has been held for 25 years in Bristol. The festival's priorities are the presentation, support and development of new and emerging talents in film, with particular emphasis on the animated film. 

In the extremely rich programme of this year's edition, there are several Polish short film productions. In the international competition, the following documentary films will be shown: "The Tough" by Marcin Polar, "Love 404" by Agata Baumgart, as well as animated films such as "Story" by Jola Bańkowska"Squaring the Circle" by Karolina Specht, "Tango of Longing" by Marta Szymańska,  "The Other" by Marta Magnuska and "Strong Independent Space" by Damian Krakowiak. In turn, "Portrait of Suzanne" by Izabela Plucińska has a chance to win the audience award. In the non-competing section, the Polish-Lithuanian co-production "Last Stop is the Moon," directed by iBiruté Sodeikaité, will have its screening.

The 25th edition of the Encounters Film Festival is held from the 24th to the 29th of September
