POLISH ANIMATED FILMS IN ROMANIA

A large representation of Polish short animated films will be present at the upcoming ANIM'EST festival in Romania.

The ANIM’EST  International Animation Film Festival was established in 2006 and immediately won the liking of the residents of Budapest. In its six competition section, the festival presents animated films from all over the world, as well as music videos and VR projects. In addition to film screenings, there are also concerts, workshops, industry meetings and discussion panels at the festival.

The Polish animated films can be found in three sections, including two competition ones. "Tango of Longing" by Marta Szymańska has a chance to win the best student animated film award, and "Acid Rain" by Tomek Popakul and  "Story" by Jola Bańkowska compete against each other for the best international animated film award.

The non-competing sections are equally interesting. The Romanian fans of animated films will have a chance to watch "An eye for an eye" by Julia Płoch, "Ovule" by Natalia Durszewicz, "Beautiful" by Weronika Kuc and "Pussy" by Renata Gąsiorowska.

This year's edition of the ANIM’EST is held from the 4th to the 14th of October.
