POLISH FEATURES AT ANIBAR IN KOSOVO!

Tomek Ducki is invited to the jury of this year's festival. In addition, as many as seven Polish animated films are included in the programme of Anibar.

ANIBAR Animation Festival is the only animated film festival in Kosovo and one of the largest events in the country. In addition to screenings of films from various corners of the world, at the festival there are debates, lectures as well as workshops and open-air concerts.

This year, the festival is held from August 15-12 in Peja. The director Tomek Ducki, whose animated film "The Baths" was awarded at Anibar in 2014, will sit on the festival jury.

In the programme, there are Polish animated films. As many as three films will compete for awards in the student competition. Marta Magnuska in her "Foreign Body" tells a story about things, which seem strange and weird, but in reality, they are close to us - about the internal and external transformation. "I, the Animal" by Michalina Musialik is an animated story about what seemingly appears to be totally strange, but in fact it is the closest thing to us. About the internal and external transformation. And "Fury" by Paulina Wyrt - an intimate reconstruction of some dramatic events - becomes an attempt to answer the question about the limits and credibility of an animated documentary film.

In the non-competing screening, the viewers will see "Debiut" by Katarzyna Kijek, an (auto)ironic attempt to deal with the so-called first film syndrome. Artur Hanaj in his puppet and plasticine animation "Leaven," kneads the dough for bread. And Piotr Loc Hoang Ngoc in "Gyros Dance" tells a tale about the employees of a kebab restaurant.

However, in the screening of children's film, "Home Rhymes" by Robert Turło and Mikołaj Pilchowski will be shown. These are funny films, made on the basis of the book by Michał Rusinek, illustrated by Joanna Rusinek.
