“CRUMBS OF LIFE” NAMED BEST ANIMATED FILM IN SPAIN

Katarzyna Miechowicz's film received the Mikeldi Award at this year's edition of the Spanish ZINEBI-International Festival of Documentary and Short Film of Bilbao.

ZINEBI-International Festival of Documentary and Short Film of Bilbao is one of the most important Spanish festivals. The event is AMPAS-accredited and winning the main prize in one of the three genre categories entitles the film to be recommended for the American Academy Award. The festival isn't only attractive for industry insiders. Its rich program brings in a global audience thirsty for great cinema experiences.

The awarded Crumbs of Life by Katarzyna Miechowicz shows the intertwining – and sometimes absurd – adventures of three characters. Una lives a quiet life with her hairy partner. Things take a turn for the worse when, for reasons unknown, she starts feeling anxious about her own foot. Then, a curse is placed on G. – who works in TV – after being spat on when interviewing a flock of plump ponies. A suspicious Faceless Man seems to have his fingers in all of this. And to make matters worse, it seems that the ponies are in on it with him.
