TWO POLISH PROJECTS AT THE ANIMATION PRODUCTION DAY

On May 4-5 in Stuttgart, there will be held the 11th Animation Production Day. This year, two Polish projects will be shown during the event.

The Animation Production Day (APD) is an event dedicated to professionals connected with the international animated film industry. Within the frames of the individual meetings and presentations, organised during the APD, producers and film-makers have the opportunity to make new contacts with potential partners - co-producers, distributors and professionals representing television and transmedia industry. Last year, over 100 professionals from all over the world participated in the APD. The Animation Production Day is the only event of this type, organised in Germany, focusing exclusively on animated film.

This year, the organisers selected 45 projects from 16 countries. Among them, there are two projects from Poland.

The first one is the project by Tessa Moult-Milewska, "Sara and the Scarecrow." The series is a modern fairy-tale about the everyday adventures of nine-year-old Sara and her best friend - the awkward, but loving Scarecrow.

Tessa Moult-Milewska is a graduate of the Film Academy of Miroslav Ondricek in Pisk, in the Czech Republic, as well as the scholar of Warsaw Film School. She is the author of the award-winning short animated films, among others, "The Designer" (2012), "Spider and Flies" (2013) and "Creatures" (2015).

The second project, "The Shadows," is presented by BreakThru Films. BreakThru Films is an award-winning film studio, based in London and Gdansk, famous particularly for its painterly animated films, as well as puppet animations.
