ANIMATED FILM FESTIVALS IN MARCH

March will abound in screenings of Polish animated films at the following film festivals. Once again, "Pussy" will be in the lead as far as popularity of the presented films is concerned.

This month, "Pussy" by Renata Gąsiorowska will be shown at festivals abroad as many as 11 times. The first screening in March is held at Tampere Film Festival, then the audience of the American SXSW  and the Turkish FILMMOR  will have the chance to watch this animated film. On March 14, starts the Spanish festival Mecal Pro, and in the competition, in addition to "Pussy," there are "Foreign Body" by Marta Magnuska and "Gyros Dance" by Piotr Loc Hoang Ngoc. A day later, in Austria, starts the festival Tricky Woman, at which the audience will watch the films by talented Polish women animators: "Beside Oneself" by Karolina Specht, "Foreign Body" by Marta Magnuska, "Impossible Figures and Other Stories II" by Marta Pajek, "Fences" by Natalia Krawczuk, and the aforementioned "Pussy." On the same day, in Canada, the festival Regard - Saguenay is held, and in the screening, there is "The Gentle Giant" by Marcin Podolec. A moment later, it will reach the German festival in Regensburg, and later, together with "Impossible Figures..." it will be shown at the festival in Glasgow. But that is not all. "Pussy" will also be shown at the festivals in Cambodia, Spain and France.

A strong representation of Polish films will appear at the festival Let's CEE. in Austria. From March 21 to 27, the audience will have an opportunity to watch: "Ab Ovo" by Anita Kwiatkowska-Naqvi, "Woolen Cogwheels" by Bartosz Kędzierski, "To Thy Heart" by Ewa Borysewicz, "A Documentary Film" by Marcin Podolec, "Danse Macabre" by Małgorzata Rżanek, "Ars Moriendi" by Miłosz Margański, "The Baths" by Tomek Ducki, "Ziegenort" by Tomasz Popakul, "Domestication" by Sylwia Gaweł and "Fences" by Natalia Krawczuk.

"The Baths" will also be shown at the festival in the Netherlands. Whereas in the festival competition, the following films will compete for the award: "Impossible Figures and Other Stories II" by Marta Pajek, "Foreign Body" by Marta Magnuska and "Hail Mary" by Aleksandra Witt.
