FOUR POLISH PROJECTS AT CARTOON FORUM

As many as four Polish projects will participate in the Cartoon Forum, which this year is held from 13 to 16 September in Toulouse.

Cartoon Forum is the most prestigious industry event, bringing together the entire community connected to animated film: producers, distributors and the media. Since 1990, it is efficient in bringing animated film projects to completion. Every year, several dozens of films undergoes the competition selection at the Forum. During the three-day event, the producers have the chance to present their projects to the group of 900 broadcasters, investors and potential partners from 30 countries.

This year's edition of Cartoon Forum  is held from 13 to 16 September in Toulouse.  Productions which were selected are presented by the authors to the representatives of media and production companies as well as to distributors in the form of 45-minute presentations on the forum.  This year, 4 Polish projects produced by the studios Animoon and Grupa Smacznego will participate in the Cartoon Forum.

"Ally the cat" is an animated film series for children, based on the idea by Marta Grabowska-Wacławek "Ally the Cat." Each episode of the series forms a separate story and describes a different funny situation from the life of little Ala and her feline friends. "Ally the cat" is a series full of adventures and discreet humour, about children's curiosity, exploring the world and friendship with animals. The film is directed by Jacek Rokosz , and the script is written by Bartosz Wierzbięta. The film is co-produced by film studios: Animoon and Letko.

"How I became Supervillain" is a story of a shy thirteen-year-old overweight boy, who is constantly wondering what is more difficult - taking control over the world or surviving the long break in an average high school which he attends in a relatively dignified way. The series is directed and written by Krzysztof Ostrowski. The 13-episode series is produced by Animoon.

"Toru Superlis," directed by Piotr Szczepanowicz, produced by Animoon, is a 13 episode series for children about a little fox which discovers the keepsakes of his Grandma that used to be a superheroine caring about the rest of the living beings in the forest. Toru decides to continue his Grandma's idea.

"Mironins" is a Polish-Spanish series, the co-producer of which is Grupa Smacznego. Every night, when the Museum of Joan Miró closes its doors, and the visitors go back to their homes, six tiny drops of paint come to life inside the paintings and begin their adventures in the incredible world hidden in the museum.
