"FOREIGN BODY" AWARDED AT BOGOSHORTS

During the 15th Bogotá Short Film Festival Marta Magnuska's film won the award for the best animation.

This year three Polish movies took part in the short animation competition at Bogoshorts:  "Pussy" by Renata Gąsiorowska, "Foreign Body" by Marta Magnuska and "Cosmos" by Daria Kopiec. The award for the best animated film went to Marta Magnuska. The full list of the awarded films is available at the festival website.

"Foreign Body" is about things that seem strange and distant but in reality are very dear to us – about the inner and outer transformation. It is a story, full of humour and hidden feminist thought, about slowly accepting one's own body, dealing with self-approval and understanding that different does not mean uglier.

Marta Magnuska is an animator, director and illustrator. She graduated in editorial design and illustration from Faculty of Graphics and Painting at Strzemiński Academy of Art Łódź. She also benefited from the student exchange programmes with Universidade de Belas-Artes in Lisbon and Animationinstitut Filmakademie Baden-Wurttemberg in Ludwigsburg.
