FEATURE-LENGTH "GOLDEN DROPS" AWARDED IN INDIA
On April 30 ended the 5th edition of Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival in India. Among the award-winners, there is Polish feature-length animated film "Golden Drops" by Daniel Zduńczyk and Marcin Meczkowski.
"Golden Drops" is an animated fairy tale, telling the story of the siblings: 6-year-old Adaś and 15-year-old Aneta. To help their sick mum, the children set out on an incredible, adventurous journey to a mediaeval country in search of the eponymous "Golden Drops." The film transports the viewer into a fabulous world, where we meet, among others, crazy pirates, the wayfaring witch, the mad king and the crafty Chancellor. (producer's promotional materials).
Making the film took almost 15 years. The film was produced by the Virtual Magic studio.
At the festival in India, the film won the jury's award for the best feature-length animated film. "Golden Drops" was the only film representing Poland in the competition. The festival Dada Saheb Phalke is one of the dynamically developing festivals in India. Every year, the event's programme includes the most interesting feature, animated and documentary films as well as music videos and commercials.
