POLISH ANIMATED FILMS AT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVALS IN FEBRUARY

February is not the best month for film festival buffs. Not much happens during this period as organisers focus on the incoming new season. However, it's not all bad, since Polish animated films will be screened in Belgium, the US, and Spain. Where exactly? See for yourself.

Two international festivals are slated to begin on 12 February. Both events are going to include Polish short animated films. Attendees of the Belgian Anima – Brussels International Animation Film Festival will have the opportunity to see Tomek Ducki's “Plantarium”, Natalias Spychała's "Marbles"Michalina Musialik's "Psie pole" and Rozalia's Ognowska's "Oby ciebie nie nosiła ziemia". On the other side of the Atlantic, Betina Bożek's “The Land of Whim” and Izabela Plucińska's “Portrait of Suzanne” are set to appear at Slamdance – the celebration of American independent cinema. Both films are competing for awards.

The Spanish Animac – International Film Festival of Animation in Catalonia will take place at the turn of February and March. Its program includes the screening of Tomek Popakul's “Acid Rain”
