POLISH TITLE: REISEFIEBER

Kaj is fourteen years old and he lives with his mother, Kasia, following his parents’ divorce. Kasia has spent her whole life tied to her work and continually travelling. She’s preparing to move abroad with Kaj. He is fascinated by Ala, their Ukrainian housekeeper, and his only hope of not being parted from her lies with his father, Andrzej, whom he rarely sees. He believes that Andrzej will invite them both to make their home with him. After a confrontation, Andrzej takes Kaj and Ala to his place for the weekend. Kaj has high hopes of the visit, but they are dashed by the end of the stay. The confrontation that follows proves to be a difficult one.
