POLISH SHORTS AT CLERMONT-FERRAND

On visiting Polish Shorts stand  the festival guests will have an opportunity to  discover about the latest Polish short films, learn about film festivals in our country and get in touch with Polish film producers, sales agents and festivals’ representatives – producers working at Wajda Studio, Valium 4 Kids, Polish National Film School in Łódź and Se-Ma-For Film Studio will be present in Clermont-Ferrand, as well as representatives of New Europe Sales and Krakow Film Festival.  Short film market will also become a place of premiere of the fourth edition of POLISH SHORTS 2011 compilation DVD, that features twelve films representing all the short genres. Additionally more than forty Polish short films were included in the videolibrary and from 28th January will be available to watch within the frame of POLISH SHORTS programme.

Another significant event in the industry programme – the Euro Connection co-production forum organized for the fourth time by Sauve Qui Peut le Court Metrage in cooperation with  Marche du Film Court de Clermont-Ferrand, CNC and Media Desk France, will once again bring together  the expert and producers seeking for new projects and coproduction opportunities. Krakow Film Foundation, which is the Polish partner of the Forum, has chosen the projects “Milky Brother” submitted by Wajda Studio and “Heart Core” whose producer Grzegorz Korczak will participate in the forum as the observer. On 31st January  the project “Milky Brother” will be presented at the pitching session in front of many prominent European producers.

After Marta Minorowicz last year’s success that she celebrated on receiving the festival’s Grand Prix for her documentary “A Piece of Summer”, this edition will feature two Polish films in the competition – animated “Noise” by Przemysław Adamski and short fiction “Frozen stories” by Grzegorz Jaroszuk.

The Festival will last until 4th February.
