The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the short list for the Academy Awards in the short animated film category. Among the 10 semi-finalists, there is the Polish director Alicja Jasina, who made her film "Once Upon a Line" in the USA.
Alicja Jasina is this year's graduate of USC School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles. "Once Upon a Line" is her third fully original project - she is the author of the script and the director of the film. In September, the film won the Gold Medal in the short animated film category at the Student Academy Awards. "Once Upon a Line" tells the story of a man leading a monotonous life, who one day meets the love of his life.
