THE STUDENT ACADEMY AWARD FOR POLISH STUDENT

Alicja Jasina is the winner of this year's edition of the Student Academy Award for her animated film "Once Upon a Line."

The Student Academy Award was established in 1972. Every year, the Academy gives awards in 4 categories: animated, documentary, feature and alternative film. In addition to the categories for film school students from the USA - there are parallel categories for students from abroad. This year, a record-breaking number of 1749 films was submitted to the Student Academy Award. At the end of August, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the list of award-winners of the Student Academy Awards.

The ceremony of the 43rd edition of Student Academy Awards was held on September 22, in Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. In the short animated film category, the Gold Medal was given to "Once Upon a Line" by Alicja Jasina. Alicja is this year's graduate of USC School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles, and because of this, she was nominated in one category together with other graduates of American universities. "Once Upon a Line" is her third fully original project - she is the author of the script and the director of the film. "Once Upon a Line" tells the story of a man leading a monotonous life, who one day meets the love of his life.
