Short animated documentary revisits the historic events that reshaped one family’s life and reflects on the meaning of communication something we too often take for granted today. To provide for her family, Helena makes a leap from her small home town in Poland into a chaotic reality of the United States, by chance landing in Atlantic City, just athe seaside resort begins to flourish in the late 1970s.Initially dazed by the eccentric town, she soon relies on her down-to-earth nature, throwing herself into multiple jobs while finding small joys in scavenging treasures from the alleys. As the loneliness slowly hits, the occasional phone calls across the ocean make the passing days bearable - until the Martial Law seals Poland off from the world and all communication ceases, forcing Helena to question her plan to improve the family's well-being. She realizes the ocean she crossed cannot be crossed back.
