THE TENEMENT BUILDING

POLISH TITLE: KAMIENICA

„The Tenement Building”is a black comedy dealing with world without love problem. It is dilapidated, the tenants are not very well-off, and what is more they don't have enough food. They are very kind to each other, and cultivate good manners. However, their behaviour is marked by artificiality and exagerration, caused by the specific tradition they cultivate. The biggest problem in the tenement is the lack of food. The restaurant, is the only place where animals can eat. In the world full of competiton and hostility, the lack of food is the big problem. Eatting food leads to temporarily satisfy the desires. The gluttony is the biggest sin which can cause imminent doom.

graduated The High School of Fine Art in Gdynia. She finished animation studies at The Polish Filmschool in Lodz in 2012. At filmschool she created animation shorts and theatre play which were appreciated and awarded on festivals all over the world. She took part in the exchange program with Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. In 2012, she gained a scholarship from Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland -„Young Poland” to make the stop motion short animation, „The Tenement Building”.
